2008 Performance Product of the Year: V-Twin
At the V-Twin Expo held at Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, OH ProCharger was presented with the 2008 V-Twin Performance Product of the Year award. This is a very significant recognition, especially considering it was just one of 12 awards presented and some of the other winners included Harley-Davidson, Big Dog Motorcycles, Orange County Choppers, S&S Cycle and Yamaha, just to name a few.
ProCharger returned to the V-Twin Expo held at the Duke Energy Convention Center in Cincinnati, OH with a burst of enthusiasm and a host of new products for the Harley-Davidson faithful, including complete, intercooled supercharger systems for 2007 and up H-D Touring bikes. Other major product news included the introduction of complete supercharger systems for 1984 to 2006 carbureted Softail models, 1999 to 2005 Dyna bikes and 1999 to 2006 Touring models. However, some of the biggest news of the event came at the Saturday night awards event, where ProCharger was presented with the 2008 V-Twin Performance Product of the Year award. This is a very significant recognition, especially considering it was just one of 12 awards presented and some of the other winners included Harley-Davidson, Big Dog Motorcycles, Orange County Choppers, S&S Cycle and Yamaha, just to name a few. The display was also the site of some mystery and suspense, as one of the country’s top bike builders, Leroy Thompson, chose the ProCharger display to pull the cover off their latest custom creation: Trendkill. In addition the outrageous Trendkill machine, the display also included ProCharger’s own Klock Werks custom 2006 Road King, which also happens to be the cover bike on the March 2008 issue of American Bagger magazine, an eye-catching Doc Zoomer 2006 Fat Boy, a carbed 2004 Electra Glide standard, and ProCharger’s newest project bike: an FBI-customized 2007 Street Glide, complete with a Jim’s 120 cu. in. engine and ProCharger’s brand new B-2 supercharger. This blue beast, known as “Project Bagger” puts down more than 200 horsepower to the rear tire – on pump gas! In addition to the five awesome bikes in the display, ProCharger’s innovative supercharged intercooled systems were featured on five more customized Harleys scattered throughout other exhibitors’ displays, including: Bassani exhaust, Fat Baggers Inc. (FBI), Sumax, Ride Wright Wheels and Frame Lock.
