WELL, THAT DIDN’T TAKE LONG…
Just weeks ago we here at ProCharger superchargers were pleased to announce shipments of our HO Tuner kits for these brand new 2018 Mustangs (virtually moments after they started hitting the dealership floors). MAK performance was one of the first to order an HO kit with P-1X head unit stating: “we are going to set some records.” Well, looks like they didn’t let anyone down one bit…

On only the second time to the track, with a 100% daily driver full weight Mustang, the record pass was made. The FASTEST and QUICKEST 2018 Mustang in the country! The pass was a 10.8@134 and stood as the record for all of 1 week, until…
MAK performance went back to the track with an updated tune and clicked off the new record of….a mind-bending 10.3@138! Let’s think about that for a second. We are talking about nearly a 9-second pass on an entry level HO P-1X, on pump gas 93, with NO weight reduction! Plus this heavyweight stang did it with just a few basic modifications and custom tuning by Kasatie Motorsports.
With a nice and easy pass (to save the axles) this maroon GT lit the boards with over 138mph which shows she is really making power! Those guys have to be stoked with the performance this budget-friendly HO tuner kit is bringing to the track. Congrats to everyone involved from all of us here in the office, as we cheer you on for even faster times in the future.
When this car isn’t in “Drag” mode, it’s flat-out stunning on its street wheels/tires. Well done MAK and Velgen!
TUNER KITS SHIPPING, FULL SYSTEMS ‘ROUND THE CORNER…
Our calibrations techs are putting in the long hours of calibration testing, which means full systems are not far off for 2018 Mustang owners. Thankfully we have loads of DI (direct injection) experience with our record holding LT1 and LT4 applications, so this transition for the Gen3 coyote was seamless. Our engineers are absolutely in LOVE with the changes in this 2018 Mustang, from the updates in the engine, the new fuel system, as well as the much anticipated 10-speed automatic transmission. With 10 gear to place this car perfectly into its powerband, this car is a match made in heaven for a centrifugal supercharger power curve!
