THE “FIREBALL” CAMARO SETS THE BAR WITH A 9.00 @149 MPH!  

Here at ProCharger superchargers we love boosting the performance of anything we can get our hands on;  however, if there is one thing we like the most it’s helping our customers meet their goals, win races, win championships and SET RECORDS.  While others “talk” about performance we are honored to have customers out raising the bar each time they go out.  For example this effort by the crews of Fireball Camaro, and B&R Performance.  Let’s dive into some of the details on what made this possible. 

WHAT MAKES THE FIREBALL 900 SO DANG FAST? 

There are many things that go into a car that is knocking on the 8 second door at the track.  But what might be surprising to many is how many stock parts remain on this car and that you can buy it “turn key” in either this 900hp package, or a 700hp package!  So yes, you can buy a full weight, fully optioned street car with this kind of performance! For more details on these cars, please visit their website by clicking HERE.   

As far as the ProCharger supercharger system goes here is the breakdown: 

Standard ProCharger Stage 2 Supercharger Kit
Head Unit upgrade to F-1A-94
Standard Stage 2 air-to-air intercooler system and tubing
Standard 8 Rib supercharger drive system

As you can see the same items we include in every Camaro supercharger customers receives, are the same items that create this record setting performance.  Nothing “custom” was created for this supercharger system to achieve these results shown here today.  That is the kind of rock solid/reliable performance you can count on when you order a ProCharger system. 

THE PERFORMANCE BREAK DOWN, AND WHAT’S COMING SOON. 

When these guys hit to track to see what this car could do here was the breakdown of the three passes she made.

The guys tried to up the jetting to 150hp, however the stock TQ converter inside the stock Automatic trans wasn’t interested in that.  So due to converter slip, the time was actually slower.  BUT, there is a solution to make this not happen again which brings us to the next point…

Next time this car hits the track it will be upgraded with the following:

15″ Rear wheel conversion
BMR Suspension upgrades
Circle D Converter 

Thanks to the added traction from the wheel conversion and the fine folks at BMR Suspension we KNOW this thing is going to be a hooking MONSTER!  Then once the gang at Circle D have that converter locking solid the whole way down the track, the 8 second time slips will come easy. The real question is, how FAR into the 8’s will this heavy weight street car go?  We can’t wait to find out!
