PROCHARGER RACE WINS KEEP ON BUILDING IN 2018!
THE MOTORSPORTS TEAM ALREADY HAS 40 DAYS ON THE ROAD IN 2018
We’ve been at the racetrack, and on the dyno testing. All of this travel is in effort to provide the best possible superchargers, and to help propel our guys and gals to the winners circle for the 2018 season.
Our last racing coverage blog post showed tons of event coverage from Coast to Coast. We showed you the win at Light Out 9 in the Ultra Street class, top qualifying spots in Top Dragster at the NHRA race on the West Coast, and Street Outlaw win NMRA season opener.
Now we have tons of Wins, #1 qualifier’s, Records, and highlights to show you from several season opening events.
Shawn Ayers piloted the Fletcher Cox owned NMCA Street Outlaw Mustang into the winners circle. This is the first race with a ProCharger as the power adder of choice for the “Gold Dust” Mustang. After record setting runs in testing the team continued the championship level performance round after round and ended the weekend victorious. Congrats to the Cox Racing Team!
Straight from his NFL Super Bowl win, Fletcher expects the same level of success from his racing team. And if this first race of the season is any example, this team has what it takes, and is on its way to a NMCA Street Outlaw Championship!
James Lawrence and the Dragzine Racing Team is no stranger to the Winners Circle on the West Coast. They have had many wins and a Championship in 2016 with the Dragzine Camaro in Limited Street/Street Outlaw class of racing. But this new C7 ZO6 was built for the top level of Radial Tire Drag racing performance to compete in NMCA’s Radial Wars class. At its very first major series Radial Wars race the team brings home the WIN! Congrats!
The power behind the Dragzine Corvette is a ProLine built Hemi with the F3R-136 ProCharger. Check out this video that shows the full information behind the build!
The ProCharger equipped Top Dragster’s are now 2 for 2 in NHRA Division 2! Just two weeks later is the second race of the season and Anthony Bertozzi gets the “Wally” in Top Dragster! Congrats Anthony! I think we would all agree that his switch to ProCharger will help to continue his successful sportsman drag racing career!
The following weekend the ProCharger Motorsports team headed back to Gainesville, FL for the NHRA Gatornationals to support 13 ProChager cars on the property!
The NHRA Sportsman class racers must have a car that will run consistent E.T.’s round after round. And it’s not typical for these classes that the fastest cars be very consistant. For the last few seasons our ProCharger cars have surprised the announcers, and other racers in the classes to not only be the top qualifiers at each Just check out these qualifying results:
Top Sportsman #1 Qualifier: Shane Novak, 6.054 @ 242.08 MPH
Top Sportsman #1 Qualifier: Lester Johnson, 6.082 @ 232.51 MPH
Top Sportsman #3 Qualifier: Derrick Brown, 6.400 @ 208.78 MPH
Top Dragster #1 Qualifier: Mike Coughlin, 6.018 @ 228.19 MPH
Our next class win comes from the West Coast in the WCHRA Outlaw 8.5 class. Congratulations Manny Figueroa on the big win in the first race of the season!
The popularity of the No Prep racing scene is huge! Arguably, only thing that has surpassed the popularity of No Prep is the Street Outlaws TV show. So it may be one of the best new ideas in Drag Racing in the last 50 years to combine the two? “No Prep Kings”! The new TV show has just started to hit our TV screens in the last few weeks with great ratings! With the Discovery Channel TV crew’s filming every part of this No Prep series of racing, and with big money purses at stake, a champion crowned at the end of the series, and lots of TV air time for the winners, it’s bound to bring all of the top level competition. At the recent event in North Carolina, ProCharger powered the winners in both the Big Tire Class, and the Small Tire Class for big $$ payouts!
