PROCHARGER RACERS OFF TO A SUPERCHARGED START TO THE SEASON
After ProCharger-powered racers won a total of 8 national championships last season, it’s clear all ProCharger customers are hungry for more, and are off to a supercharged start to this year’s racing season.
Doug Sikora led the charge this past weekend at the PSCA Record Breaker Nationals with a reset of the quickest centrifugal supercharger 1/8th mile pass in history with his F-3R-136 powered Mustang running a 4.19 @ 177 mph, and winning the Outlaw 10.5. Sikora defeated Dan Withers in his twin turbo big-block Chevy.
Racing news from the other side of the world where gas and sand are cheap and abundant: ProCharged racer Steve Jackson is in Qatar participating in the Arabian Drag Racing League which features intense competition in 11 diverse classes of the quickest and fastest passenger cars on the planet. This track just re-opened after being closed down for two season, and is shattering all kinds of records. Steve Jackson is setting some records and making history of his own with his ProCharger F-3R-136, including winning the first, third and fourth races in the Arabian League’s version of True 10.5 competition (the Super Street 8 division), resetting the 29.5 tire world record 4 times, and winning the world championship in this class. Steve’s ProCharger-equipped Mustang, already one of the quickest machines on drag radial tires, unleashed a 4.295 @180. Congrats Steve, and safe travels back home!
ProCharger is also looking forward to the Radial Revolution race at South Georgia Motorsports Park next weekend! We’re expecting a large car count of ProCharged customers competing at this event, nearly 40 racers. Sergio Shifman, Senior Performance Technician, and Ken Jones, CEO, will be present from ProCharger to provide support and a combined 31+ years of experience with ProCharger. This should be an exciting weekend.
