THE SEASON IS STARTING TO HEAT UP…
We all know how championships can come down to the wire and this is when each point really starts to matter. Nearing the end of the season, the ProCharger supercharged racers are leading the pack, ready to battle for an outstanding end of the year! Let’s dive into some of the recent wins and runner ups in a few of these race events across the US. In no particular order…
NMRA/NMCA
The NMCA/NMRA Super Bowl of drag racing at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, IL marks one of the biggest races of the year and ProCharger powered racers did not disappoint.
NMRA Coyote Modified: Joe Guertin qualified in the #2 position running an 8.133 @ 168.13mph. Joe marched through his side of the eliminations ladder running a best ET of 7.948 @ 170.86mph. Guertin made it to the final round were traction was his enemy as his ProCharged Mustang over powered the starting line.

NMRA/NMCA Street Outlaw: In a class where the rules are currently biased in favor of turbochargers, ProCharger racers have a monumental task. A ‘’David vs Goliath’’ type of battle and our racers went into this race fearless and prepared for the fight. Phil Hines emerged from the ProCharger contingent of racers and made it to the semifinal round running a best time of 4.508 @ 163.63mph. Great job Phil!
NMCA Top Sportsman: Ben Board brought the World’s quickest ProCharger powered small block and it was on point this weekend. Board took the top qualifying honors running a stout 6.483 @ 208mph. Not bad for a 408 cubic inch small block engine! Ben took his 2012 Camaro all the way to the final round running consistent 6.50’s with a top speed of 214.96mph. Congrats to Ben on an excellent outing!
NMCA Extreme Street: Louie Flippides and his American Racing Headers backed 2010 Camaro again served notice to the competition that they are a force to be reckoned with. Louie took his 427 cubic inch F1A-94 powered small block to the front running a 7.591 @ 181.45mph securing the #1 qualifying spot. Flippides didn’t stop there, and took his Camaro to the final round. There, Louie did not let up on his competition and ran a 7.57 @ 180.94mph to take home the win! Congrats Louie!
KING OF THE CORN
This year marked the 1st annual Ethanol Nationals in Kearny Nebraska… Where racers had to run a minimum of 50% ethanol in their racing fuel mix. At this event Justin Keith took home the win in the stick shift class with his ProCharger F-1A supercharged Corvette C7. This car might look familiar as Justin is the owner of the popular racing series known as “Street Car Takeover” which travels to tracks across the US all year. Congrats on your win Justin from all of us here in the office.
NO PREP AT I-29
Battling some tough competitors all day, Andy Schmidt took home the R/U spot and the $$$ in the drag radial class. Andy relies on his 438″ Small Block Ford engine, ProCharger F-2 supercharger and CSU blow through carb to bring him reliable results at the track. This car has also racked up loads and loads of street miles, to prove that it’s no trailer queen. Hats off to this very dedicated ProCharger racer and his crew. Here in the office we look foward to hearing about another win coming in this same event in Sept…guess we will have to wait and see.
NEW HALF MILE RECORD (C7 Z06)
Not all racing is done in the form of the 1/8th or 1/4 mile these days; However this amazing C7 owned by Skip Harmon proves that a daily driven C7 Corvette can hold all THREE records at the same time. Yes, this car holds not only the 1/2 mile record, but also the 1/4 and 1/8th as well! Skips car was built by the team at Advanced Modern Performance. Congrats to all involved in this amazing build.
