PROCHARGER STARTS OFF 2018 IN STRONG STYLE FROM COAST TO COAST!
WINS, RUNNER-UPS, AND TOP QUALIFYING SPOTS!
That’s how ProCharger racers have entered the first four big races of the 2018 season! No matter what side of the coast you come from, ProCharger supercharged racers are proven to be a force to be reckoned with. Our newly expanded motorsports crew has been crisscrossing the country to check out all the action, and this blog is a recap of just that.
US STREET NATIONALS IN BRADENTON FLORIDA
The ProCharger team started with a strong showing in FL, where new cars and new combinations were showing their stuff, resulting in 3-second passes by both Shane Novak’s ProMod (F3X-143) and James Lawrence’s C7 Corvette (F3R-136). Not to be outdone though, Brian Keep (F-1A-94) was making rounds and ended Runner-Up in the super competitive Ultra Street class.
NHRA WINTERNATIONALS IN POMONA CA
Just two weeks later, the team ended up at the opposite coast in sunny CA. Kicking off the NHRA season with this high-level event, ProCharger racers ended up spread through Top Dragster, Top Sportsman and Top Fuel Harley, all making the top half of the field. This weekend was highlighted by a semi-final appearance by Kenny Upton in Top Dragster, with a red-light start upending his trip to the finals.
LIGHTS OUT 9 VALDOSTA, GA
One week later the entire ProCharger Motorsports team made the trip to the radial event of the year! Every year this event manages to outdo itself and 2018 was no exception. 23 ProCharger racers showed up in the staging lanes – at least one car in every class where a ProCharger can run! The biggest and baddest class Radial vs World – to Open Comp. How’s that for diversity?
Not only were we in full strength for racers in the field and boots on the ground, we also brought down our display rig to show off all the latest ProCharger systems and gear. It’s always great meeting or getting reacquainted with customers or potential customers and showing how we can help meet their power goals.
When the dust settled, F-3R-136 racer Terry Parks found his way to the finals in Limited Drag Radial and we want to congratulate F-1A-94 equipped Rodney Ragen on his big win in Ultimate Street.
NHRA WILD HORSE PASS, AZ
One the road once again, and off to sunny Phoenix, Arizona. Once again ProCharger racers were at the top with Brian LaFlam in his beautiful Mustang (F3R-136) taking the #1 qualifying spot in Top Sportsman with Chip Rumins nipping at his heels in the #2 spot with his Camaro (F-1X-121RD). Not to be outdone, ProCharger Top Dragsters took #6, 7 and 8 qualifying spots in the 32 car field.
NMRA SPRING BREAK SHOOTOUT BRADENTON, FL
To wrap up this adventure from all over the US, we stopped down in FL for the NMRA season opener. ProCharger racer Andy Manson had one of the weekends that all racers dream about. His ProCharger F-1X-12 powered machine brought home the full “trifecta” with a #1 qualifying spot, class record, and overall class win!
The season is just getting started though with more NHRA events and the NMCA, PDRA and WCHRA openers, all right around the corner. If early season results are an indicator, you’ll see many more ProCharger racers in Victory Circle in 2018.
