PROCHARGER WINS AT NMRA/NMCA SUPER BOWL
Once again, the 8th annual Nitto NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing provided some awesome action for a huge crowd of race fans. With the many ProCharger racers in attendance traveling to Joliet, IL from every corner of the country; records would be broken, and a ProCharger supercharger-powered winner would be crowned in the very competitive Street Outlaw class.
Sean Ashe and his ATF sponsored Mustang led the charge, running a record-breaking 7.269 @ 195 mph in qualifying and backed that run up in the second round with an even faster 7.25. Ashe wound up in the final round where he met Phil Hines. Hines also pilots a ProCharger F-1X supercharger-powered Mustang. Hines left the line first, but Ashe was able to drive around him at the stripe for the win, in an extremely close 7.33-to-7.38 race.

This is what makes the NMRA/NMCA Super Bowl of Street Legal Drag Racing special; the Nitto Tire Diamond Tree championship ring was presented to members of the winning teams. Once winners of each racing category are crowned they form Team NMRA and Team NMCA. In a predetermined pairing the racers compete against each other in staggered start format, team vs. team with cash bonuses awarded to the round winners. The team with the most wins is declared the Super Bowl champion and every team member receives a Nitto Tire Diamond Tree ring for their efforts.
