The 3rd time is the charm for Chris Evans! After making it all the way to the finals in the previous two Outlaw Street Car Shootouts; Evans sealed the deal in last weekend’s event and took home the win!

Coming out of 2015 with a Championship finish in the LSX Real Street Class, the Farks Supercars-American Racing Headers team piloted by George Farkouh decided to switch classes for 2016. They wanted to step up to NMCA Xtreme Street and see how competitive their ProCharger powered 5th Gen Camaro can be with Louie Filippides behind the wheel. Well, I think they have proven that they are capable of achieving the same result as last year, and are well on their way to another championship. The team took home the win, #1 Qualifier position and new record for the class with a best run of 7.61 @ 181!

Rob Poochigan’s Chevelle is a stand-out at in a sea of Mustangs at every Ultra Street race event. But this badass muscle car is not all looks… It has consistently been a top qualifier for the last few years. Rob recently took home a win at one of the most competitive Outlaw Streetcar Shootouts to date. Congratulations Rob!

James Lawrence and the Dragzine team are off to a killer start to the 2016 NMCA West season! The event was a struggle for all of the racers as they endured 100+ degree air temperatures, and 140+ degree track temps. The consistent and predictable power from the ProCharger along with a very well tested and experienced team has kept the car on top!

“The Sonoma” is no stranger to winning, but owner Jackie Knox was tired of the frequent backfires of the nitrous systems. With some down time between the filming of the next season Street Outlaws TV show, Jackie and the crew from B&R Performance made the switch to ProCharger for their power adder. They needed to get some test passes on the new combo, so what better way than to show up at a big no prep race. It would be an understatement to say that the testing went well. The Sonoma went round after round with the consistent ProCharger power and took home the win!

Congratulations to Josh Edwards & Rick Webb for dominating the XDR class at the recent PSCA event in Las Vegas. The ProCharger F-3R boosted Big Block Chevy in their 1973 Camaro RS Z28 claimed the #1 Qualifier position and went on to win the class on race day!

What can we say about Joe Guertin that hasn’t already been said in all of press he has been getting this racing season? Not only is Joe the current points leader in NMRA Coyote Modified; He is the first in the class to run in the 7’s, as well as the current record holder with a 7.803 @ 174.93. This level of performance has fellow racers sweating to keep their combos competitive. Congrats Joe on your first (but we are sure it’s not the last) NMRA win!

Coyote Modified Class

The NMRA Renegade class is one of the most competitive classes in all of heads up, small tire drag racing. In 2015 Aaron Bates teamed up with renowned NMRA guru Mike Dez, and in their first season they advanced to the final round at two different races, and ended up 7th in points at the end of the year. For 2016 Aaron’s racing program is top notch and he is the current record holder for the class with a 7.406 @ 187.86. Congrats to Bates and crew for the winning the Maple Grove race.

Joel Greathouse and KBX Performance have been a dominant force with their ProCharger F1A-94 powered Fox Body. In the massive field of competition at Lights Out 7, they took home the win and lowered the Ultra Street record to an unreal 4.76 @ 149. Following this incredible victory, Joel drove all the way to the finals at the Outlaw Street Car Reunion III, where the cold weather forced the officials to call off the event before they could line up for the last race. They have continued to break records with this combination, and we would like to congratulate Joel, Ben, and KBX for their most recent win at the Prize Fight!

The “Excalibur” is a beautiful 55 Chevy driven by Lester Johnson. Lester and the LJ Motorsports team are continuing to dominate the NHRA and PDRA Top Sportsman class. Johnson made the switch to a big, bad BAE Hemi for the 2016 racing season. Right out of the gate they claimed a win in the Top Sportsman Fast 4 race at the recent race at Route 66 Raceway with a run of 6.21 @ 232 mph. Congrats to the whole LJ Motorsports team!

Congratulations to George Toll for completely dominating the NMCA / Chevrolet Performance Series Real Street class at the recent event in Indy! Toll claimed the #1 qualifier position, re-set the E.T. and MPH class records with a 7.678 @ 181.81 run, and took home the win!

Jarod Wenrick and his beautiful 66 Nova made it 3 wins in a row at the first 3 NMCA races in the Street Outlaw class. After winning championships in other sanction bodies, Jarod took a few years off from racing. He made the return in late 2015 with this awesome machine built by Lyons Custom Motorsports. The 66 is powered by a 434 LS based motor, with boost from a class legal ProCharger F-1X-12. Congrtats to Tim and crew for the 3rd win of the season!

Eric Gustafson and the R&E racing team have had more accomplishments in the last two seasons than some teams can even dream of in heads up drag racing. Eric piloted the ProCharger boosted 458ci LS motor in the famous white Fox Body to championships in both NMCA West, and WCHRA in 2014. And then in 2015 they won the NMCA Street Outlaw Championship, and held multiple records in several classes! Now for 2016 he is right back to the top with a win in the LDR class at the opening RTRA race in Denton, TX. Congrats to Eric and the R&E crew!

I know we promised a racing blog about the muscle cars, outlaw drag radial cars, and other ”door” cars. But we just couldn’t leave this waiting until the next racing update. Help us in celebrating with APD’s Joe Hessling. This past weekend he takes home the win at the Jegs Allstars shootout during the big NHRA National event at the Route 66 Raceway. Congrats to Joe and the Advanced Product Design team on their win in the Top Dragster class.
Changed names around to help promote APD, since they have been a great dealer.
