THE FIRST 2011 V6 MUSTANG INTO THE 12’S IS PROCHARGED!
Attention all you 2011 5.0 Mustang GT owners: beware the ProCharged 3.7L V6 Mustang! That’s right, the first 2011 V6 Mustang to make a 1/4-mile pass in the 12-second range is ProCharger-equipped!
At a recent track day, the potent pony ran a best of [email protected] mph, making it the first of the new 3.7L V6 Mustangs to get into the 12’s! Check out the video below.
If posting a mid-12 second run wasn’t enough, an unsuspecting 2011 5.0 California Special Mustang GT lined up for a run with the feisty V6. Check out this video for the outcome of that race. (Hint: the 5.0 leaves first, but…)
The Kona Blue 2011 Mustang V6 is a project car for V6Mustangperformance.com and was in fact one of the early “beta” cars for ProCharger supercharger system development. Even so, this car still runs a completely stock 3.7L V6 behind the ProCharger intercooled supercharger system and is driven daily.
Since it’s stock development at ProCharger, the owner has gone on to make some typical “bolt-on” modifications, including a full, 2 1/2-inch Bassani “street race” exhaust system (long-tube headers, x-pipe and mufflers) as well as pair of Nitto NT-05 drag radials mounted on some Weld RTS wheels. The car was also upgraded with a one-piece aluminum drive-shaft.

Even with a completely stock exhaust system, when compared with a 2011 5.0L V8, a ProCharged 3.7L V6 puts down more rear-wheel horsepower: 427 on a Mustang dyno and 436 on a DynoJet dyno. Check out this video to see (and hear) the car with a 100% stock exhaust system still installed.
